This is my 500th post.
Whew and woo hoo, I can hardly believe it.
It was hard to fathom in August when A Work of Heart reached the
5 year mark.
I continue to be grateful that the Lord led me to start a blog.
It has been a creative outlet as well as a place to sort out much
of life.
As I look back over the years and the posts contained
within a given year, I love that there is documented evidence to remind
me of how the Lord has worked year after year.
Oh there are some posts that are worthy of a cringe, but I won’t point those
ones out.
It is best if those pieces of writing remain buried in the archives.
I am also thankful for all of you who take the time to read the blog.
Whether you subscribe, read in a reader or just stumble onto this site
by accident and then remain, I am deeply touched.
I hope you leave this site encouraged and know the things God puts on my
heart to write are a megaphone proclaiming that you are not alone.
I try not to look at stats too often.
If you look at the tab on top entitled ONE you will understand why.
However, I did check out the categories that I use often.
One of those is books.
How I love books, it’s obvious I believe.
So many books and so many favorites.
One of my favorite authors is Mark Buchanan. {Check out his website}
I would love to give one person a copy of one of his books.
Below are the links to five books
Click on the links and read the descriptions.
Leave a comment telling me what book you hope to win.
I think there is something for everyone.
Here’s the list:
Your God Is Too Safe Things Unseen: Living in Light of Forever The Holy Wild The Rest of God: Restoring Your Soul by Restoring Sabbath Spiritual Rhythm: Being with Jesus Every Season of Your Soul
Take a look at each book and leave me a comment by Saturday, February 12th.
I will pick a random winner before I lay my head on my pillow Saturday night.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading A Work of Heart!
Wow. Congratulations. And thank YOU for taking the time to post. You inspire me, and I especially like to see what you are reading.
I have never heard of the author or his books, so if you pick me please surprise me with your favorite!
Congratulations Precious Friend on this grand accomplishment! Kudos to you for your bravery and obedience, i looked at each of these books and I always wanted the one that I was currently looking at…until I read the next one. So if per chance my name is drawn, I will trust you to choose as I will be grateful for any of them. Thank you for your kind generosity, May you have another 500 posts that affect everyone’s lives in radical ways, including your own.
Your blog, Helen… is a part of my devotions. I look for it. And when it is there, a peaceful sigh of contentment soon follows. Thank you for being faithful to this place.
Should I be chosen, I would love to read “Spiritual Rhythm”…. I could go into the many reasons, but I’ll spare you
Thanks again, Helen.
